Bidra med feedbackWe went to the birthday of a friend and had the most terrible, slow service and the most irresponsible waiter of all time. I told him I had a garnel allergy and only after a bit in a piece of ravioli and found a piece of crab shell. I asked him what was in them, and he said garland and crawl. we had to leave immediately and the main dishes were just served after almost 2 hours waiting time. even without the allergic incident, I would definitely not recommend this place.
My man and I had heard of a beautiful hacienda outside the city (kab necessary) and although we could not find any reviews on ta, we trusted our source and made a reservation as we were told that it was necessary. when it turned out, maybe because of it. a middle week timing and a rainy night, we were the only ones there! the environment must be one of the most romantic and most beautiful properties in mexiko, and the Italian cook must be one of the most talented in the country! there is no menu and the prizes are not given, but when greeted, they are simply told what their choices will be for the evening. we tried everything from wonderful grilled mushrooms to homemade ravioli built on a large table in the back of the magnificent space. (I saw the woman who makes us). the meal turned out that it is not more expensive than one of the better restaurants in the city and much more unforgettable both in the magnificent old stone landscape (I think we ate in what was once a horse stable) and also the perfectly presented and prepared Italian food. Perhaps this place should be a secret of ours, but we love sharing our discoveries and pushing traveling to san miguel de allende to take a taxi and enjoy dinner (or lunch) at a remarkable place!
Es un lugar bello y nostalgico, atención personalizada, super exelente, amerita 5 estrellas, tiene el frescor de sus arboles y jardin, sabor a romance!
My husband and I had heard about a lovely hacienda outside of town (cab necessary) and although we couldn't find reviews on TA, we trusted our source and made a reservation as we were told it was necessary. As it turned out, perhaps due to a mid-week timing and a rainy night, we were the only ones there! PERFECT! The setting has got to be one of the most romantic and gorgeous properties in Mexico, and the Italian chef has got to be one of the most talented in the country! There is no menu and prices are not given but when greeted, you will simply be told what your choices for the evening will be. We tried it all - from wonderful grilled mushrooms to homemade ravioli which were being constructed on a large table in back of the glorious room. (I watched the woman making ours). The meal turned out to be no more expensive than one of the better restaurants in town and far more memorable - both in the glorious ancient stone setting (I believe we ate in what was once a horses stable) and the perfectly presented and prepared Italian food. Perhaps this place should be a secret - ours - but we love sharing our discoveries and urge travelers to San Miguel de Allende to take a cab and enjoy dinner (or lunch) at a remarkable place!
We went to celebrate a friend's birthday and had the most terrible, slow service and the most irresponsible waiter ever. I told him I had a shrimp allergy and only after a bit into a piece of ravioli and found a piece of crab shell, I asked him what was in them and he said shrimp and crab. We had to leave immediately and the main dishes were just being served after almost a 2 hour wait. Even without the allergic incident, I would definitely NOT recommend this place.
