El Paisa 1 - Guanajuato

These taqueria and the one next, el paisa 2 are the best in the city. don chava, the owner is often there to make sure everything is okay.

Of all tacos, which were sold in a kind of restaurant, under a firm roof, with tables, seats and bathrooms, these are the best, we could find in Guanajuato. we visited the El Paisa II, which seems to be located just next to the El...Paisa I. A wide choice of toppings from cabeza to al pastor, delicious salsas and condiments, choice of tortillas or tortas what else do you need?

I have read a few reviews on this place and me and my friends were looking for “cheap eats” But is always a gamble when it comes to food right? Even more when is “cheap places” or “street food” ... This place is about THE...FOOD!!! Don’t mind the place itself if “simple” is not your thing Also: The staff is amazing! So nice that I went back there 2 days later and they remembered me and asked if I wanted the same thing!!! : Super recommend the suadero pastor tacos and quesadillas

Humble place across the street from Mercado Hidalgo. Overwhelmingly local clientele. The tacos al pastor nearly rival those in Mexico City. Two are a meal. We eat there a couple times a week when in Gto. Spanish rusty? No worries. Just point. If it's crowded...check the back room for a seat at the narrow counter along the wall. Worth getting out of your comfort zone.

I found this local place to be friendly and clean. Yes, you share tables and stools with other folks, but so what?! The suadero pork sandwich and chorizo tortas were very good. Service was nice and friendly. Go there and be surprised!
