Bidra med feedbackWe went there to have breakfast at (as their Facebook paged announced they were open). They were only open at First, they told us they were switching the menu to a more brunch like experience instead of the usual breakfast experience. However, the...menu was exactly the same as it was in the breakfast. After we ordered, the server came back to let us know at least half of our orders were not available. Basically, we could only have chilaquiles or eggs. We ordered that. Food arrive in a total mess. First one omelette and a plate of chilaquiles, minutes later another. The food was really disgusting. Staff appeared to have been partying a couple of hours before. A really bad experience.
The service here is amazing! The food is fabulous. The cocktails are awesome! This is a must try, you won’t be disappointed.
Sophisticated twist on Mexican classics. Attention to quality and well worth the price. Everyone thinks they are a critic with these damn review buttons. Yes, I am ALSO a French trained chef and this food was explosive, delicious and just spot on!! Stop whining about...cost and go spend a week in Los Angeles or New York and count your blessings that we can eat for these prices, with this quality in GDL!! Can't wait to dive into the rest of the menu on future visits! Great service as well...
This was supposed to be Mexican Classics with an Upscale touch, however we found a restaurant saying they are a Garnacheria serving small plates (an excuse for minimal servings at a higher price), i.e: A sope for OK, this is the second place trying...to get away with this, both equally bad. The waiter was a pretentious snob trying to infer their gourmet preparations and trying to explain what a novel concept they have.... please! All the while being smoked out of the room by them doing food preparation for next day's event (bad note, quite unpleasant If you see any menu;s online be warned you will get a smaller, more expensive menu when you arrive. So, we should have taken the clue and left when we got there and found an empty restaurant on a Friday night and the hostess (in a winter jacket because the place was a freezer) asking if we had reservations... hahaha The other people know what we are about to find out..... Had a Pachol sope which was a sope but not a pachol anywhere in Mexico (should be a beef pattie made paper thin by producing from a metate) this was a burger patty, super salty and boring. Had the Duck tacos, hard tacos, badly fried and all twisted, not bad tasting but terrible presentation. After the starters (the whole menu is starters) we had a Sopa seca de Fideo (angel Hair pasta) which was inedible and which is cooking in Mexico, it was acrid and just bad, I sent it back; had the Chile Relleno which was also bad and also sent bad; an the Cuerito Tostada which was over vinagred so you couldn't eat it and had NO cueritos but they make their own (so do I and at least mine you can eat), bad, sent back as well. All the while the waiters hovering around us, taking this and that, even when you're not done (complete lack of training) and not giving any space at all.... NEVER did anyone ask is something the matter, something wrong with your food? Which makes me thing food gets sent back all the time.... and judging by NO customers, this place is going down in flames..... For what little we were served the check was MX and not worth MX. This is supposed to be a Top Chef NOT, anyone who can't make Fideo, Sopes or Tostadas decently should get out of the kitchen and change jobs. Period. Not worth your time or money. In case you think I don't know what I'm talking about: We are a family of classically trained Chefs and we've had a few award winning restaurants in the US and Mexico. I am also an award winning Chef. Also, pictures shown here (as well as the menu) have nothing to do with this place.
It's a typical mexican restaurant but with a different touch, I've been many times and everything I've tried is amazing! I totally recommend it to try delicious mexican food!
