The Peddler Steakhouse In Gatl

My family always makes a stop here when we are in town.

Was very very disappointed with my birthday surprise for my husband. We both ordered dirty martinis (attached photo I took one drink and ate the olives before taking photo) and were given what tasted like a shot of plain vodka in a standard cup. It was the worst martini I have ever had and horrible presentation for a nice steak house. We switched to Long Island which was one of the signature drinks and it was also terrible/so sour it hurt both of our stomachs and tasted very artificial. We both got the best and largest cuts of meat (filet and prime rib) that they had. Both were covered with fat and gristle while also having no flavor. We both left hungry as we weren’t able to eat much. Dinner rolls and salad bar were great but for just under a $200 meal we were shocked at how bad drinks and the food were. Lastly, we were offered a free dessert for his birthday but later on the bill were charged $5 for it. I will say our server was attentive and kind. Overall I would 100% skip this place.

First time visiting, we had reservations for the river view… the food oh my goodness…it was the BEST steak I have ever had. Delicious!! The salad bar was fresh and so good! Bonus a bear was walking right outside our window! It was a perfect dinner! We can’t wait to visit again in the Fall!
