Bidra med feedbackWe recently moved from Southern California to the area and Monarch was our first weekend winery that we visited after the move. Since our first visit we are often back and enjoy it every time more than the last. My husband and I even brought my parents to Monarch when they came to visit. It is a sweet and picturesque tasting and many of the wines are beautiful and delicious. The best part, however, are the owners-Cheri and Joe. They're kind to earth and funny. We enjoyed our time here and especially our pleasant chats with Cheri, Joe and some of the regular customers.
Monarch Grove Winery (shares property at Grove Beach Amtrak Station parking lot. Note this when you will visit. GPS plays a trick on you and sends you to a grassy spot land. This location is not an uppity foo foo type of space. Perfect when hoping from beach to beach. Yelp Rating . Very cool atmosphere like, Cheers, where everyone knows your name. Not only did we learn how to eat cakes (coiler warning, with a fork. IYKYK we have some great wines to taste (we all bought some bottles, got a free personality test, got culinary secrets, learned a cool cork trick, met John and received free private protection from Max the dog. From me and my girl, thanks Joe and Cherrie, your location was fun, you are wine delicious, and you are both great people. We had so much fun. Location added to my favorites for future road trips.
Loved this winery so much. It's tiny, but don't miss it!! They even have a winery dog which made the experience so fun! The guy really knows a lot about wine and even taught us a thing or 2. We took a couple of bottles to go and already miss this little gem!
Great wines. Small place but worth it. We did a flight of six wines and were able to purchase crackers and cheese and various wine snacks. Owners makes the wine and are very knowledgeable and good company. I'm kinda jealous. Would love to have a small place like this.
Chance to actually meet the owners. Very nice winery
