Bidra med feedbackSweet simple and local osteria only €25, but exceptional value and delicious meal. Sitting outside in a little private terrace surrounded by the village houses with the waiter dashing across the quiet road with the food, we weren’t expecting too much. The food came very quickly, a huge plate of deep fried pasta balls with prosciutto, two plates of different pasta, a huge sizzling grill of steak and a litre of red wine. We upgraded with Spumante and desserts, all delicious for diddlisquit.
This place is very original with a cosy home feeling. The owner/waiter is very friendly and fun. Its originality is also its downside, because the chef prepare only what he wants in this fix menu. This menu tends to be always the same: donzelle with Parma ham, poco cacio e pepe (too much pepper), tortelli maremmani and tagliata. No desserts. Portions are massive. Basically it is a men's restaurant.
This is not for everyone. Its an osteria and what they do is great but dont expect a lot of choice. I had seen a lot of reviews for meat and went hoping to have meat. It was a fish night and on the menu was only 6 dishes. I was a little surprisedbut needn't have worried. In 2 we ate mussels, spaghetti with seafood, desserts, coffees and a litre of house wine for 45 euro Tip....take the chefs recommendation, you are sure to leave happy and full
