Bidra med feedbackI've been coming Ming here for a long time. I'm originally from Michigan and now live in California. It is s must stop place for my family. Love the finicky old atmosphere, the drinks are generously poured with a smile. Feels like home!
Love Ruatics, bring your cash and give Bob a big tip.
Today, after a tour of the Ford Mansion and exploring Grosse Pointe RW, I headed south to Grosse Pointe Park and Rustic Cabins. My local friend, RW, knew this place would be fantastic. It’s a hub for the community, and I found myself immersed in the atmosphere that Rustic Cabins offers. The exterior is unpretentious and rustic, but inside it resonates with character. The vibe is fantastic, filled with a timeless ambiance that can only be cultivated over the years. There are pool tables, a jukebox, and even a cigarette machine (for any hipsters out there, look it up!). Smokers still pop in for a quick smoke, and it’s a reminder that no one enjoys being told to leave! This place is a gem. Locals come and go, and I even met a couple of regulars—it felt like an old friends’ reunion! Everyone buys rounds for their pals, including me. It’s kind of like the show "Cheers," but it’s the real deal. On this quiet Sunday night, it was still a delightful experience, with sports on TV and the jukebox pumping out tunes. Pure magic! Spots like this are incredibly rare and can’t be manufactured; they simply evolve. Check out this treasure in Grosse Pointe Park. If you get it, you’ll appreciate it; if you're not sure, keep looking. Rustic Cabins has captured my heart! If I were traveling with Jack Kerouac, this would be my final stop. Go check it out!
There's something truly special about dive bars; they evoke the feeling of being at your grandmother's house, especially if she lived in a cozy, old cabin filled with dim lighting and beer-themed decor. My grandma actually didn’t have that kind of place, but dive bars certainly give off that homey vibe. The bartenders were friendly and welcoming, the beer was ice-cold, and you can enjoy your drinks inside or play pool outside. You can snack on potato chips and even bring in food from the nearby Buschemi. It’s all great options to consider. I highly recommend stopping by if you find yourself in the area with an hour to spare in the evening.
This is a family-owned establishment, and it really reflects in their service. The outdoor seating is lovely, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal. I would rate it 5 stars—definitely worth your time to visit!
