Lunch Box Deli - Grosse Pointe Park

I want to extend a big thank you to whoever added this restaurant to HappyCow. I have been visiting Grosse Pointe for over 20 years and was pleasantly surprised to discover this amazing restaurant just a few miles away. Let me tell you all the great things about the Lunch Box. You can choose to make any meat sandwich vegetarian by replacing the meat with tofu at no extra cost. Their menu includes options like a caprese baguette, veggie burger, grilled veggie sandwich, classic veggie sandwich, Mr. T veggie with hummus and avocado, Artichoke Grill sandwich, egg salad, and much more. In short, vegetarians will be thrilled with the selection here. As a vegan, I also enjoy dining here as I can easily swap out meat for tofu, opening up the entire menu for me. They also offer a fantastic variety of salads. One thing that bothers me is when restaurants prioritize their meat options and bury the veggie choices at the bottom of the menu, almost as if they are an afterthought. While Lunch Box lists chicken first and beef in the middle, the veggie options are still somewhat tucked away. It would be nice to see them featured more prominently. Located at the corner of Cadieux and Mack, they offer online ordering with delivery services and also provide catering options.
