Went to the Grimsby location last night. We have been here many many times and always enjoy the experience. Staff is great, charcuterie is always tasty and very fresh. Great way to spend an evening (or summer patio lunch) over a bottle of wine and great company. Tiny location, so make sure you make reservations.
Nothing I can criticize. Forgot to take pics but the food and service were both excellent. 4 of us shared the Italian charcuterie board, plus the stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta. I heard particularly positive feedback on the mushrooms.3 had the cheesecake and raved about it. I opted for the chocolate lave and also found it delicious.I had a gift card to use up and might not have discovered this place otherwise. Even without the card, the prices were reasonable. Definitely going back.Being noon on a Saturday, street parking was available and free out front.Parking: Parking on the street was available on a Saturday during lunch.
We were really looking forward to the experience. Service was pleasant enough. Substitutions made on the charcuterie board were only mentioned when it arrived, which took away from the intent and the items we were specifically looking forward to. Nearly half of our mussels were inedible—totally closed. It was brought to the server’s attention and it was still on our bill. We didn’t ask for it to be removed. Frankly, the manager (owner? was there and was advised — didn’t think we had to. Nothing really impressed us. So. Much. Bread. Lovely presentation, but underwhelming. The live music was a lovely touch and made the atmosphere.
Spectacular! Food was awesome! Service was great! What can I say… I highly recommend this place! I would definitely come back for the sweet beet salad!
