Bidra med feedbackLarge selection of Asian foods, excellent products (easily best in town) and a wide range of beer, wine and spirits. By far the best beer and liqueur on the West Bank. They also have many home items such as dishes and kitchen utensils, cleaning and paper products, medium-east foods, hispanic foods, meat and fish and an area that makes fresh sandwiches and some fresh but packed foods/meals. Really brilliant, and also remained open to Hurricane Ida, that was a rescue ring. Really a jewel and a great resource. Thank you for having such a great place available.
I love an oriental food store! I came looking for something specific. Tofu fa... to eat when I break my fast today. I took a little plastic cup, which I thought was tofu fa... it was Vietnamese yogurt. It was delicious after my husband. But not tofu fa. I love the variety of Asian spices and the prices are very good. And Veggies! You have happy vegetables! Checkout was very friendly. I love this place! Look at the cauliflower!
Such a large store! Great variety and pricing. I had been hearing about the market for so long and finally got to experience it. I will likely need to go again to look even deeper into what they have, but what I saw, was awesome. So glad to stumble upon potato starch at a very inexpensive cost. As someone who avoids gluten, I was pleased to see so many things that indicated if it was gluten free or made in facilities that process gluten. Definitely an adventure for the books! Some other items I bought were spicy (Sriracha) mayo, sesame seed oil, Thai sweet tamarind, chayote, oyster mushrooms, small bok choy, Thai bananas, red pearl onions, Chin Chin sugar free jasmine green tea, black chocolate, rice vermicelli, tapioca starch, and deglet noor pitted dates. Looking forward to the next chance to go.
Many seafood and fresh vegetables and fruit. One of my favorite places to get different things that do not wear regular shops.
Although I have not experienced the other Asian markets in NOLA, this is probably one of the best in the area. To find better, you need to go to Houston. You know Vietnamese food because they are. But they also have many other Asian delicacies and other cultural things. All freshly prepared foods are authentic, and they have one of the best choices in the country. (Philly, NYC, Houston) and many of the specialties that most Americans do not know what to do. (Denken über Balut)
