Bidra med feedbackMy buddy and I stopped here for dinner last night. I'm always skeptical when it comes to chinese buffets because they can be really good or really bad. Asiana will and always will be the best Chinese buffet I've been to, and since it's closure in January, I've been venturing to find a replacement. The food was good. Nothing to wow me. I will say that seeing honey chicken on their bar was different. You dont see that everywhere. Definitely a smaller selection than most, but they kept pumping out the fresh food as soon as we got there.
A very large buffet with tens of options from rice to a selection of desserts for a reasonable price of $10.79. The spread includes a full salad bar and several different soups, Wonton, Hot Sour and Egg Drop. Fish, pork, chicken, beef and many vegetable options to choose from including egg and spring rolls. There were a few western dishes for those who don't want Chinese. The downside was that the dishes were OK, but nothing great. We were hoping to find another good Chinese option, but this wasn't it.
Went for lunch on Friday. Nothing was fresh and the fried chicken was terrible, tastes like the oil hadn't been changed in days. The fried chicken was yellow from old oil. Nothing tasted fresh. I won't go back. If you want a quality Chinese buffet, I recommend Epic Buffet in Simpsonville.
I've visited this location twice and I can say they definitely do a good job. They are quick to seat and accommodate guests coming in. We were seated and had our drinks on the table before we could even come back with our first plate. The hot tea is my favorite, and I adore the little cups they serve alongside the tea pot. A few of the foods could use improvement, the puff chicken and crab ragoons haven't been very fresh, and its easy to tell by the taste and texture. I love the deserts and the ice creams they have available. The food was delicious, my favorite is the chicken and broccoli. This isn't a complaint on the restaurant, but I was a little sad they didn't have the salmon and cream cheese without avacado (im allergic) but its ok, everything else was good. I definitely will skip the buffet in Spartanburg to come dine at this location.
This location has come along way. When we first moved here it was not great. Coming from New Jersey where our Chinese food is top tier we searched high, and low to find any buffet remotely as good as ours. We gave up, and decided to try again a few years later. When I tell you compliments to the cooks in the back, and the new mgmt they have did a heavy duty turn around you see lots of cars here, and it's sometimes packed. The food quality has improved tremendously. It's definitely worth coming back to. We eat here quite a few times a month now. Depending on the mood it's usually take out. Though on a few occasions we sit down. They do weigh your food, and want to look inside. Though I don't care for that. I will open the container and close it for them that's my preference. They also offer regular menu items for pick up as well. They do not offer delivery. Unless it's through a 3rd party. Though if you are looking for some decent Chinese here's your spot.
