Bidra med feedbackMy meal was delicious. I had turnip greens, rice with gravy, sautéed squash, and cornbread. The iced tea was the disappointment. It was too weakly brewed, and they don’t have fresh lemons. Just bottles of lemon juice.
A must eat for anyone visiting Greenville. It's been a staple on Laurens Rd for 50+ years. Think about that. How good does a restaurant have to be to remain open for half a century? The meat and three for lunch can't be beat (try the open faced turkey sandwich with black eyed peas). The burgers and dogs are top notch (corn dogs and chix dogs are too). And the sweet tea is <chef's kiss
I grew up in Greenville, so every time I'm in town, I go to Palmetto. They never fail me! I love it. The chili cheeseburger all the way with onion rings and cole slaw is my favorite. Don't forget the Pepsi. Thanks, y'all.
Today was our first visit since we live 30 miles away, and it was a wonderful experience. Customers order at a counter. Maria was SO helpful to us in ordering. Food was delivered to our table and was delicious. I’m a big fan of collards, and these were some of the best collards anywhere. The country fried steak was also very good. It’s not a fancy place, but the food is excellent; staff is friendly and helpful; and there is plenty of free parking. I recommend you give Palmetto Fine Foods a try.
