Bocca Pure Italian - Greenville

Great, fresh Italian food in the North Greenville area! We loved the intimate feel of the dining area and my chicken piccata was amazing. We came in during a rush, so initial service was slow, but they were very apologetic. Highly recommend! This place has semi odd hours... called a to go order in 5 minutes till 5 pm... which is when Google said they opened. Said it would be 20 minutes until my food would be ready. Ordered the Chicken Marsala... but did not get to eat much of the chicken because my 3 year old tore it up LOL was so good, sweet taste to it, mushrooms were on point, chicken was like it has been seasoned and cooked in a crock pot or something. Creamy Balsamic dressing was yum! Bread was hot and tasty.. Everything tasted like homemade authentic Italian food! It was our first time to eat here at Bocca. We have been on the hunt for a great Italian restaurant. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Food was fantastic. Loved the atmosphere. This place is very unique and laid back. We will be a regular at our new favorite Italian place. Place was is nicer on the inside than expected, food was good, BUT... the service was absolutely horrible. From the phone call setting a reservation to the end of our meal. Bad. Walked in with reservations for 2, stood around for 20 minutes or so, while we waited a larger party walked in, announced they did not have reservations and were seated within a few minutes. Another 10 minutes went by and we were told that they wouldn 't be ready for at least 30 more minutes. The waiters were all less than enthused to be there and from what the table next to is said, the owners sin was the most difficult to deal with. Very slow and really just seemed like they did not want to be there. Orders were wrong, which happens and wasn 'tan issue, white wine was warm. The food turned out to be good, but due to the horrible customer service and additional fees added on to the bill we definitely won 't be going back. Arrived with one party waiting ahead of us. 4 tables were open and the hostess told us they were finishing up setting the tables and would get us seated shortly. The couple waiting ahead of us was seated. Another party showed up after us without a reservation and were seated. After waiting 15 minutes we were told by another host that we could not be seated for another half hour or longer. We watched another table wait over 10 minutes to get menus brought to them that were clearly frustrated about the lack of service. I don’t think anyone working there knows what they are doing or what is going on. Needless to say we left and went somewhere with better customer service to enjoy a bottle of wine, appetizers and dinner and won’t be back. Service: 1
