Bidra med feedbackWe dine here 6-8 times a year and love it. Our most recent dining experience was probably the worst we've ever had. Service was slow, but I can tolerate that a bit at a fine-dining establishment. My wife asked for a side glass of ice which was never delivered. She ordered a petite filet but a ribeye arrived. They immediately corrected, but still took 15 minutes (slightly undercooked), and I had my meal in front of me. Had to start eating as it would have been cold if I waited. They did comp her meal and glass of wine which we appreciated. We WILL return, but unexpectedly disappointed this time.
Great service and food The spicy rock shrimp is dank
Republic is a nice place for an anniversary dinner. However, when we arrived, the table was not ready at our reservation time as they were running behind. Once seated, it took a while to get service. It seems they are understaffed. Our crab cakes came out burnt but still edible. My steak was overcooked. They did comp our wine even though we didn't ask which was nice. The garlic mash and chocolate torte were delicious.
Very accommodating with request for a booth because of handicap, great wine
My husband had the rock shrimp app and I had the tuna tartare. We both had a petite filet mignon with Bearnaise, and Creme Brulé for dessert. All but the tuna was perfection. The Ahi Tuna Tartare was described as in an orange gochujang sauce, but there was so much gochujang (puddles of it) I could taste nothing else. Typically, when a food element is hyphenated the first word is the dominant flavor; I detected no orange at all. The tuna itself was mushy from multiple freeze thaw cycles. The presentation was lovely, but the quality of this appetizer was not what we have come to expect from Republic Chophouse. Service was perfect Julie would be a great asset to a 4 Michelin star establishment.
