Bidra med feedbackWe arrived at the restaurant on Friday at 2:00 only to find it closed until 4:00. Despite this setback, we returned on Saturday and were not disappointed. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, but the server and staff worked hard to accommodate everyone. The owner and her daughter even pitched in to help serve and clean tables. Our server was excellent and spoke highly of the owner. The atmosphere was just what we needed after a tiring day of snowmobiling. The food, especially the homemade burgers, was delicious. We highly recommend stopping by Fire House Bar and Grill in Capreol.
I am giving this restaurant 5 stars because I don't want to be overly critical, but I'm not a huge fan of the food. I find it to be quite average. We had pizza yesterday and it was just okay. I also tried the nachos which were nothing special. I couldn't finish them, as they weren't very enjoyable. However, everyone else I've dined with has loved their meals, so it seems to be hit or miss! It's definitely worth a try and I will continue to explore different menu options. Update: I still give it 5 stars as I tried some other dishes and they were delicious!
Was really impressed by the extinction, Pommes were great and our poutins survived the ride home no problem. It is by far the best exit in the Hanmer area.
We recently hosted a surprise 65th birthday party for my husband at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the owners and staff were incredibly friendly, and they even allowed us to have a band play. We had an amazing time and are looking forward to when they have accessible bathrooms available.
If you like going places, and tasting different poutines, DO NOT try the Firehouse Poutine here. After having it once, all other poutines are ruined. I'm happy they are out of the way. If they were more convenient, I'd weigh 600 pounds.
