The Waterside - Great Yarmouth

10 of us arrived for lunch and ordered while restaurant very quiet. 9 meals arrived as they had forgotten to cook mine. Said 5-10 minutes… everyone else were half way through their meals so I said not to bother. They offered to cook something else but with a very restrictive diet for medical reasons I had chosen the only item I could eat. I listened to fellow diners. Some really happy others not. Lasagne that was reheated to rubber. Quiche Lorraine that had no meat only leek.

Went 2 days a in a row this week as staying in the area. lovely location lovely staff. Yes had to wait for some food but good things come to those who wait. First class hot food.first class friendly staff no complaints

Very disappointed. This was second visit and both times we had a long wait for our food. One of the waitresses needs to go on a refresher course for customer services, so rude. We waited 40 minutes for our prawn sandwich, I thought they went out to catch the prawns!!!

A very nice place with great view of the local broads. Staff very friendly and served us with very tasty food and coffee. We will be going back.

The young staff at this restaurant were charming, but the older supervisor was rude. When I ordered a vegan soup, it came with buttered sliced bread. When I questioned the bread, I was abruptly told that I should have specified that I wanted it vegan. However, we had asked for it to be vegan and it was marked as such on the menu. Although they gave me plain bread afterwards, the experience was soured by being scolded and also who serves pre-buttered sliced bread anyway? The menu even mentioned a granary roll. It's disappointing to see this decline in quality at a restaurant that used to be better.
