Bidra med feedbackThe excellent and historic bar in Grapevine. The food is so good that my grandpa has eaten here for 10 years every morning. There is live music and even a second level with pool tables. This is a must to visit when you check Main st., Bar hopping or in search of a bite to eat.
Good service, but the food wasn't great. Chicken fried steak seemed like residues that were thrown back into the frit. The whole place smells like an ashtray. Nice for a bar, but not great for a restaurant that wants to attract non-smokers. Beautiful historical mood to the place and loved this part, but the smokers can keep this oasis.
Cool place to unwind. Bar has plenty of space and the staff is friendly. Also for dinner at the restaurant. This is not your usual bar or restaurant. It's a unique place. They allow you to smoke in the bar area. Numerous outdoor seats are also available. If you are in the area, check it easy, find it interesting.
A friend recommended this restaurant to me. I didn't eat here. There are two main reasons why. Apparently you can still smoke in restaurants/bars in Grapevine. When I came in, I was immediately greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke from the bar area. It shocked me. I asked for a non-smoking area and was advised to go to the back of the restaurant. Kinda stunned. Secondly, I tried to eat healthy. Avoid meat and friend food. This is not the place for it. Burgers and roasted food and meat were the most important things in the menu. There was a salad bar as an option, but I wanted more than one salad. I wanted to eat somewhere else. I'm sure the food is good, just not what I was after.
We had the upstairs reserved for a party. We arrived in slow parade, not all at once. Personally was one of the last ones to arrive. My entire service the only interaction I had with the server at all whatsoever was bringing me my first drink and her wanting payment. Not only did she not bother to refill anybody's drink that I saw, they completely ran out of sweet tea.... this is Texas they ran out of sweet tea!! But she still went ahead and added her gratuity to the ticket without asking her anything else because we were a party that sit together that's all we were. we did not order together. To say she didn't jump through hoops would be a gross understatement she didn't do anything but bring me one tea. And couldn't even make more. No I will not be back. Who runs out of sweet tea in Texas? Let me rephrase that who runs out of Sweet tea in Texas that wants to stay in business?
