Bidra med feedbackSurprising of the reviews, we had all croque monsieur (it was the only thing left, place with fresh dips) but it was a cheese and ham toastia that we had made through the tent. it was too expensive for what it was. £35. that's my first review, but I was so disappointed that I had to say something.
Situated in a, quickly becoming trendy, little street close to the centre of Granville this slightly quirky but welcoming cafe/tea room is a fine addition to the more standard fooderies. La Picorette is not a restaurant as the menu is very limited: on the day...we visited there were three options, teetering on vegetarian, on the chalkboard two of which were quiches. Two small rooms are found behind a sophisticated tea emporium and customers are genuinely welcomed. Whilst the menu was limited and a tad expensive we would advise booking or arriving early as, being trendy, it is very popular. I hope it kicks on rather than rest on its laurels. Perfumed tea is offered free as an aperitif .
We visited Picorette on a recommendation. It is a lovely tea shop/ restaurant. Very good decor and ambience. Great variety of tea to drink and on sale in the shop.
Lovely late lunch. They had sold out of several dishes, so we just had a choice of croque Monsieur or salmon quiche, but both were delicious and served with dressed salad leaves. Desserts were equally good. I enjoyed a feather light pavlova while my son...had a fabulous chocolate fondant. The range of teas is huge. I picked one which was mint, bergamot and pepper, and it was very refreshing. Picorette isn't cheap but the staff are lovely and so is the food.
This was the first time that Rebecca and Amelia had lunch here and they loved the quiche but more importantly The immaculate service from the owner and her son who speaks perfect English and mandarin. Everything about this restaurant is immaculateand a joy to visit
