Bidra med feedbackAs someone who grew up amongst a Cuban population in Florida, it’s hard to overstate just HOW DAMNED GOOD this food was. The Cubano was exemplary to the point I brought two home to my family. The maduros were perfection. My dining companions loved their bowls too. Even their iced tea and cafe Cubano were better than I had hoped.I can’t wait to go back for seconds. Support local businesses especially ones that bring culture to the valley. Arguably the best food in Grants Pass. You’d be a fool to skip this gem. Already craving more…Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options!
We both had the carne asada the citrus and garlic seasoning hit the mark! Their daily special air fried yuca(? was amazing! Beats greasy fries any day! Sit outside and enjoy the sunshine!Vegetarian options: The Cuban citrus garlic makes this veggie bowl ZESTYY! This is such a healthy alternative regardless of meat or veggies. No greasy sauces. Refreshing!Parking: Everything is close.
Angela is the owner of this restaurant, although it's her husband who is from Cuba. We didn't get to meet him, though, as he was still teaching at the high school. She was very talkative and happy we were patronizing her restaurant. We happened to be the only two in the restaurant at 5:30pm. We wanted to eat next door, but we were going to see a play at Barnstormers and it was about a twenty minute wait for a table. Since we didn't want to rush, we will return there another time. The waitress had suggested another place up farther yet Cuban food sounded intriguing.Concerning Cultured Palate: Ang really does make the BEST mojito!! I enjoy a mojito on a hot evening in the summer and it happened to be a warm one in Grants Pass. It did not disappoint! She had a little sample cup brought to us that included the three meats. All were delicious. My husband opted for the little sandwich bites. And I had the carnitas bowl. Delicious. I will have the bites next time. He also had flan, which was excellent. We washed our hands before we left and the bathroom was nice and clean. I always appreciate that.If you can't find a table on a given night in this area, try Cultured Palate. As Angela told us, her husband is the culture and she has the palate. It's true. Excellent, original wine selection here, too. She knows her stuff. For simpler, but good fare, try this place.(If you find this review helpful, please let others know by hitting the like button. Thank you.)Kid-friendliness: She has coloring materials for kids on the front window table.
You’ve got to try this place! Food is made from scratch with such care! Delicious and so flavorful. Thank you! I’ll be back!
This was our introduction to Cuban food. The beef was absolutely amazing! We had the Cuban sandwich and the plate that gave you rice and beans with Pork, Beef and Chicken, (sorry, I can't remember the name). The beans may have been the best rice and beans we have ever tasted. The dishes came with plantain chips, which were new to us. Friendly staff and owners. We are telling our friends to try it.
