Bidra med feedbackVisited new area (for me) in Portugal, driving round area, found this bar/restaurant. Nice location (chilled relaxed). Small food menu, but all looked good. I ate 2 nights (both fish meat courses excellent). Brazilian chef. Interesting cocktail menu (tried both a tequila then gin based drinks), excellent aperitif. Wine choices also good. Very popular, but staff very attentive. Definitely worth a visit.
The management team at Bago have been able to deliver a wonderful formula. Ridiculously kind waitressing, welcoming atmosphere and decor. Probably the best sirloin steak I’ve had for a long time; soft and full of taste. Vegetarian options delicious (my daughter is vegetarian). Ricura gently fighting its sharpens versus a simply delicious dressing. Fish stew so fresh, delicately cooked. Perfect portions. Sublime ceviche. Relaxed, warm, premium dinner. Perfect combination of different China from Alentejo, including the cutlery. Great fun. “ that was a a truly great dinner” my husband just said. Thank you Bago. Oh, and moscatel on the rocks.
