Bidra med feedbackFood was great and they have a great selection of beers. Manager's recommendation was wonderful. It is located in a strip mall atmosphere and is not large, so it kind of takes away from the ambiance. Given the nature of the place, it should be in an old building downtown somewhere.
I had the combo plate with pulled pork and brisket, ridiculously overpriced for the amount of food that you get. This was a to go order, and they forgot the beans and the cornbread which is included in the meal. The coleslaw was bland, no flavor and the french fries were cold and tasted like McDonald's fries reheated. The pulled pork was shredded PLAIN pork, no BBQ sauce at all (it comes on the side, which makes no sense if it's supposed to be marinated in it). The brisket was old (pretty sure they served me yesterday's left overs), it was hard and dry.. Long story short, there are a couple of other BBQ places in Grande Prairie that are 1,000 times better than this place...go there instead.
Stopped in here for lunch with friends, and the food/service was excellent - real authentic BBQ. The menu is very good - lots of choices, and local craft beers available on tap.
I love eating bbq but what we had was so terrible it was impossible to eat. We ordered the calamari and when it arrived it was cooked well and it had nice flavor so we were excited for the combo plates we ordered. When we got it the catfish was so overcooked you couldn't cut it and the brisket was mostly fat, cold and tasted like it was cooked in a slow cooker. The beans were the only thing that had any smoke to it and the salads had no dressing. I will never eat here again.
Great atmosphere. Quick service. And outstanding food. Something here to like for everyone. Except anyone who won't eat meat :-)
