Husky House Restaurant - Grande Prairie

I have tried both lunch and breakfast at this restaurant. The service was slow upon arrival, the server seemed disinterested (even though the restaurant was not busy), and the food that arrived was not good. My expectations were not high, but unfortunately they were not met. The breakfast buffet was particularly disappointing.

I couldn't believe that the price they charge for pages. I ordered a ham. And when it came, it was literally a sandwich ham cut into two and the two halves were a dollar a piece.

During my last stay in Grande Prairie I ate at Husky House Restuarant and had an average meal (pancakes) that were cold and not well cooked. The server was inconspicuous and seemed like she didn't want to be there and I had to get her back a few times to refill my drink. Not overly impressed.

The restaurant was quite mediocre and has now been replaced by a parking lot for the gas station. It was getting old and was in need of renovations.

I was staying at the hotel next door and received a coupon for a free breakfast at this restaurant. I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was not anything extraordinary, but it was not a typical continental breakfast either. The food was really good and I would definitely eat here again, even without the free coupon. It's not a five-star restaurant, but it's better than fast food chains like McDonald's.
