Pesto's Italian Eatery - Grand Sudbury

This restaurant was a disaster. The service was incredibly slow and we had to wait for almost an hour before anyone even took our order. The waiters seemed more interested in hovering around the computer at the entrance than actually serving the customers. Despite there being very few people in the restaurant, our food took forever to arrive. When we finally mentioned the long wait, they made excuses about how busy they were, even though the restaurant was practically empty. It was a complete waste of time. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

I recently stayed at the Radisson hotel and wanted to have lunch without braving the cold Sudbury winter. Unfortunately, Pesto's hours are a bit strange and I found out the hard way that they sometimes close early when it's slow. I went to the restaurant only to find it closed. I inquired at the front desk and was told that Pesto sometimes closes early. It seems that even the room service hours can't be trusted. It's a Saturday and the hotel is completely booked, so this inconsistency is quite frustrating. Perhaps if Pesto had more reliable hours, they could retain more customers. I'm just grateful I didn't invite my colleagues to join me for lunch, as it would have been rather embarrassing.

Upon our arrival at the Radisson hotel, we noticed the sign advertising a breakfast buffet at a reasonable price, which included tea or coffee. We decided to try it out and were pleased with our experience. The restaurant had unique operating hours, staying open until late at night. We even returned one evening to find that they were still serving drinks, a gesture that was greatly appreciated.

It is always easy to get skeptical over hotel restaurants (especially if they are quiet), although this was a beautiful surprise. it was a good value for money, nice, courses good to see and not rushed together and it definitiw seemed the pasta and... sauce was homemade as the menu said it was. would eat here again.

The food was good but service was slow and since service was slow food was cold. Convenient to walk from hotel. It's to bad could be excellent..We ordered breakfast buffet it was hot but so so food. The next morning my husband ordered eggs off...the menu and didn't get his toast till he was all done.
