Bidra med feedbackWow! This ghost kitchen concept out of City Built Brewing is where is at! They advertised their Mardi Gras week menu on Facebook and the beautiful pictures of their specialty items enticed me to order several items for our family to share. The Shrimp Creole and Chicken and Sausage Gumbo were so flavorful, both served with rice and a biscuit. The Gumbo had a really nice smoky and spicy kick, perhaps too spicy for the unadventurous palate. The Roast Beef Po' Boy was excellent but maybe had a touch too much sauce for our liking (and compared to similar sandwiches we had in NOLA). We also ordered the King Cake and Hurricane Cheesecake to share. Both were decadent and of generous portion. I was impressed with how quick our ordering process was (online through ToastTab) and how smoothly the pickup process was. Everything was packaged perfectly for transport and the order was 100% complete. Staff on the phone and in person were warm and courteous. Great experience!
Li Grand Zombi, like many GR restaurants, is a popup concept working inside of City Built Brewing Company. They're open Thurs-Sat via takeout or delivery through the courier services. Their menu changes weekly but they specialize in creole cuisine. I had the Parmesan grit cakes with grilled shrimp and tomato jus. It comes with a ton of fried okra and remoulade. Some of the best shrimp& grits I've had. I especially lovely the smoky tomato jus. It also comes with cornbread and honey garlic Serrano butter. The butter is pretty garlicky but good! You catch the serrano heat on the back end. Not too spicy. It's good enough on the spice scale for most probably. The cornbread isn't dry...a lot of folks dry it out. It's good without the butter. The butter is added plus. I'm happy to see another creole inspired cuisine in West MI. With the new outdoor social zones outside of City Built, it's worth your time to order and enjoy next to the rive
