Bidra med feedbackGreat eating can not wait to return to the new place.
The first time we went to zoko was soon after the opening and we loved it. the service was great and the small plates were brought out perfectly in eating. it made a nice evening. this time, we felt that it was not so well explained and not also timed. but it has become much more busy. eating is delicious. some are very small bites and others come with much more. we finally ordered to share a few large plates, after 9-10 small plates
We sat right away, which was nice. the restaurant was half full, eating came fast and the noise was not bad, we could have a conversation which was great. our waitress was beautiful, but it took forever to get our cocktails. I had two drinks and also my wife, both of them had to ask for the drinks, the waitress was nice and apologized and said the bar ran after. that was so. the tortilla was quite tasteless. After we go to other tapas restaurants and try zokoe, unfortunately we will not be back again, which is annoying because we were really excited about it.
Having eaten in the Basque Country in Spain, I can say, “Hallelujah!” Kind of a pity they don’t grill fish outdoors like they do in Getaria—-maybe in summer? Have not yet had the 22 oz. chuletón there it’s the tomahawk steak of a retired dairy cow, and the best beef ever) but I am confident theirs will be good. My husband says, “Why eat anywhere else in Grand Rapids?”
First time. Skeptical of seating so close but we made fun talk with both couples on either side of us and the other two couples also connected and we had 3-way conversations.
