Bidra med feedbackMy wife received a gift certificate from her colleagues from the work for this restaurant. we went to this restaurant in cascade, mi, as there were many gluten-free choices. the restaurant was quite empty when we went around 18 o'clock, but then quickly filled up. the restaurant is located on a lively street and in a small strip shopping center. the service was excellent and the food was excellent. I had a steak dinner and my wife had a chicken dinner. the carrots were delicious. the steak was fantastic and the huh of my wife was perfect. great work from the chefs. we really enjoyed our dinners and will definitely be many times again.
My first time. had a date night with my daughter and grandson. our waiter was kindly helpful. would go back differently. the man sings and plays gitarre was very enjoyable. ?
Despite the lukewarm initial greeting from the hostess, we truly enjoyed our early dinner! The menu featured so many things we were interested in trying. What I wanted was a little bit of everything! My clever husband pointed out that they offer combos! I ordered their four combo meal for $21 and he ordered the three combo meal for $18. We were able to try many items which was a wonderful way to explore and enjoy their extensive menu. I had their Jive turkey salad, which was very good, tomato and saffron soup, delicious, grilled cheese sandwich, amazing and mac and cheese. He ordered their Ruben, which he thought was delicious, caesar salad, also very good but small compared to my salad, and hand cut fries. Eclectic ambiance with cool pictures of different men smoking pipes or cigars made for interesting dinner conversation. Our server was very sweet and did a fantastic job. We will be back!
Their sweet potato fries were amazing, but their definition of toasted was way darker than mine when it came to my sandwich. If not for the burnt toast my rating would have been 5 stars. Waitstaff were very nice and efficient.
I considered the experience for a few days before adding this (or should it be yelping this? . Baseline, we had bad service delicious food- once we got it. Every table was busy when we stopped in mid afternoon on a Saturday, but the wait was only 20 minutes and it 's a nice place to spend time; whoever designed the interior expertly blended neat! and spaciousness. I counted only 3 waitstaff, and our waitperson had to do a lot of bartending as well as serving tables. I hate to be that guy, but it was at least 8 minutes before our person appeared to take drink and appetizer orders; yes, jerk move, but I ran a timer on my iPhone. I 'd like to think not total jerk as we then understood the timeline and I put the phone in my pocket. A lot of running around; those folks were busy. The delays were mildly annoying but it happens. Harder to describe is the waitperson 's demeanor. Obviously had too many pokers in the fire, but was a bit snappish when we paused to finalize our choices. Three of the four of us finally got our orders (which were hot and had not sat under a heat lamp too long I think but then the fourth entree never arrived. After this very busy server did not check back with us, I approached the bar asked about the missing item. They were very prompt at that point; in a few minutes the last plate was delivered. The food was excellent; a new twist on roasted sprouts; not the usual balsamic or maple glazed, but ham, apples, cashews in honey dijon. Tegan the Vegan incorporates apple into the non meat burger and gets close to the texture of real burger while offering another atypical flavor. The chunky fries are perfect, skin on and coarse cut. The fish and chips are a special entree, and that they are; thin fish filets fried in crushed corn flakes, crunchy smooth. The late entree was removed from the bill while they gave us a giant cookie thanking us for patience and our business. It was an oatmeal cookie, redeemed by M Ms and crumbly, chewy goodness. If you hate oatmeal cookies you should give these a shot. Given the current labor situation, overall this is a rare adverse event and mistakes are part of life. Is it accurate or fair to evaluate a place based on a single bad experience? That 's part of Yelp 's purpose, and the same could be noted of good reviews based on a single experience. I 'd say given the food quality, it 's worth another visit.
