The Stable Inn - Grand Haven

Great food, excellent service, and a fantastic value. Everything we had was delicious! The prime rib was tender and full of flavor. We only had to wait 30 minutes, but next time we'll call ahead.

This is a lovely restaurant. On Friday evening, I dined with a friend and we decided to try their all-you-can-eat fried fish option. You have the choice of getting your fish either boiled or fried. The appetizers were pretty good but could use a bit more flavor. The salads were served on a small plate, which felt a bit inadequate; a bowl or larger plate would be better, especially since you can mix your dressing at the table. The baked fish was quite good as well. Overall, the flavors were decent, though I would personally prefer a bit more seasoning. However, this place offers more variety than many others I've visited. Our waitress was fantastic—very friendly and attentive. There was a bit of a wait for our food, but it is a sit-down restaurant, so that's to be expected. The food arrived hot and fresh, which is why I gave it a high rating. The French fries were delicious, and I really enjoyed the ranch dressing. I would definitely return to try more items from the menu.
