Bidra med feedbackNice small town spot to grab a quick breakfast. Patrons are good about eating leaving to make room for folks waiting since seating is very limited. We did the same as we were in town for the MN State Hockey Bantam A Tourney. Snapped her bottles sauces too.
The food is excellent; reminds me of childhood family vacations and road trips, stopping at cafes along the way. Eggs were cooked perfectly over medium at my request, pancakes were fluffy, hash browns extra crispy as requested, and the chicken fried steak was BOMB. There were three options of hot sauce, homemade by Darcy, and I tried the cayenne. Delicious. It's a small, quaint cafe so get there between 7:00AM (opening) and 8:30-ishAM if you want to get seated but otherwise it's worth the wait. It says online that their busiest time is around 9AM. Accurate. We noticed it started filling up around 8:30AM but it was also Saturday. Even if there isn't a table or seat at the counter available they'll put you on a wait list and text/call when something opens up. They also request courtesy from customers not to loiter after finishing their meal. Please tip generously, folks. The food industry has taken a hit during the pandemic and servers don't get paid enough as it is. The prices are reasonable so give little extra to the nice humans who cook serve your meal. We will be back.
Passing through Grand Forks with two hours to drop my friend off at the airport. Where could I treat my good friend with a power breakfast in GF???? Did a quick Yelp search for breakfast and Darcy’s Cafe popped up. Zipped over. Life before and life after. THANK YOU Darcy for the experience and making me a hero. My friends and I shared an absolutely incredible experience and the food…. Incredible… Had the “Berlin” omelet (Grilled German sausage, onions, sauerkraut, and swiss) with blueberry and pecan pancakes. The blueberries were so incredibly fresh. The omelet was perfect. Perfect. Coffee and service…. Perfect. And we were served by Darcy herself. It is not often you get to meet people who really care about their craft I mean really care about the incredibly important basics of getting breakfast insanely right, you have to eat here. Will be driving out of my way to experience this experience again.
Great local diner! I've been here a few times and the food is great. You need to plan for a little wait because there aren't many seats inside. Just put your name on the list and wait in the car until they call you. Make you you try the pancakes with your meal. There are rotating special pancakes like pumpkin, all-American, cinnamon roll, and red velvet! They are all fantastic!
Stopped by for breakfast and was completely impressed. This is a small family run business with friendly staff and delicious food. Be sure to try the cinnamon roll pancakes... They are heavenly. If you like ham with your eggs it is a nice thick friedslice! We will definitely visit again when back in Grand Forks.
