Bidra med feedbackThe Square Cafe? 42 years it was the Nutshell. The new owners changed the name to the Square Café. Google brought us to the place. We were looking for direction to the shell, as shown in our exploration on maps. The staff was friendly. The food was home cooking! It was very delicious! The story is so interesting. Sit for a while and ask. The pictures tell the story of food.
This is an excellent value for the price. You have everything you can eat, but we chose some of their meals and eat every bite. I love that it feels comfortable and the staff is friendly and out to give you a good value. Next time I come back to Granbury. Your cinnamon toast is delicious!
My mom and I stopped eating here before we went back to Houston. It's such a great little place to get a bite. The menu is very simple, but the sandwiches are large and hearty. You're also very nice. We were very happy that we found this place before we left the city.
Good food. Nice ambiance--a little rustic--but nice. Service was fast. But, the lady who took our order was...snarky and just a little bit rude. She fit the typical roadside cafe character of a cranky waitress. But the Nutshell is not a roadside cafe. It's supposed to be a quaint charming eatery. Don't get me wrong, it didn't upset me enough to leave or anything. It was just a little off putting.
What a wonderful, old-fashioned café. It brought me back when I was a child, and we'd be a similar eatery. The burgers, pommes and chips were great! The cakes and pastries looked wonderful, but we were too full of partake. Very friendly staff and the atmosphere was warm. Great coffee!
