Heinde Ver - Gouda

So we went for the journey in 4 stages menu which is a taster of most of the dishes om the main menu. Some surprises like mock chicken coque au vin...which tastewise was OK but just genius as an experiment. All dishes had an interesting touch but lacked a bit of finesse. Still tasty food for a great price and in a relaxed ambiance. The wines that accompanied the food were great, perhaps separating the dish rounds in vegetarian , fish and meat might make the wines match better. They were very nice but had little to do with balancing out the flavor profiles in the dinner rounds. All in all a nice dinner with some small star combination that make one think. Definitely worth a try if you are done with the standard fare that is normal to Gouda on the other side of the market.
