I attended a local church event last week and Scotts Plaice provided the food. We all pre-ordered and when we arrived at around 7pm I think, the food had already been delivered. I had cod and chips and the others in our little group had pie and fish cakes. It was lovely. The fish was so fluffy and white and there were no bones or skin on it. I really enjoyed my meal. I am not that local to the area but based on the meal I had last week I would go back to this fish and chip shop and I would recommend their food. I made my first order from this place tonight Fish and chips with mushy peas with a spam fritter arrived with in 45 min But this was the first and last time I will be ordering from them The batter was very greasy and continued right through the fish I’ve never seen batter stick to greaseproof paper before the grease continued through the spam fritter.it all looked very bland the chips were undercooked . I’ve had better from a Chinese takeaway Needless to say after a few mouthfuls I’d had enough and in the bin it went thoroughly disappointed old saying comes to mind “once bitten twice shy” Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1
