This is my favorite Mexican food in south carolina. It's so authentic and delicious. I come every chance I get. My husband always gets the asada burrito and they are always out of this world. I mix it up between tacos, tortas and quesadillas but always make sure to get the pastor bc it's the most delicious meat!!! Their esquites is my favorite but it's a huge huge serving, not complaining about that though
A friend was craving some tacos today and it just so happens that I'm trying to find the best taco place around. So, let's taco-bout Mister Taco! This food truck is located on Redbank in a little plaza across from Howard's Barbershop. It is hard to miss in the morning and even harder to miss at night due to their nice outdoor dining set up. Since Mister Taco is located in a plaza, there are numerous spaces available for one to park their vehicles at this food truck.Service was great since I came at a time where no one was there! I ordered the 4 most basic tacos every taco place should have (pollo, pastor, carnitas, and carne asada from left to right) which came out promptly. The tacos you see are double shelled 3 tortillas stacked with meat and garnished with a bit of onions and cilantro. On the side we were given limes, cucumbers, and the green and red sauces (there should have been radishes but I guess they ran out). Now, it's time for the taco review. I started civilly by adding a bit of lime to each taco. Then I started chomping down the tacos from right to left while cleansing the palate with a slice of cucumber between every taco. I give this place 5 stars. Although there is room for criticism for their chicken and steak tacos, their saving grace were the pork tacos. Everything about their carnitas taco was ON POINT (amount of filling, flavor, texture, smell, and the sound of biting into it)!! Every time I hear the words carnitas, my mouth salivates as I think of the carnitas I had here on a Saturday afternoon. Their pastor, which has pineapple cubes in it, was very balanced in flavor accompanied by bursts of juiciness in almost every bite. The chicken and steak were not very memorable. So! If you are hungry for some tacos and happen to go to Mister Taco, I would recommend to have the tacos with carnitas pastor carne pollo.
100/10 it’s AMAZING. The pastor burrito was one of the best I’ve probably ever had
It was pretty good. They only have 2 large picnic tables for seating. They do have a nice gravel area under and around the tables. The lady taking orders spoke good English. The food was pretty good. They just have a cooler of drinks. It's not life changing, but it's a solid taco truck.
