Tomo Japanese Cuisine - Goodyear

I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of the fish at this unassuming Japanese restaurant. The sushi, sashimi, and rolls were fresh and delicious...great quality! We had yellowfin tuna, salmon and mackerel sushi with albacore sashimi. The yami yami roll was amazing with the tuna and shrimp tempura. They also have a full bar and a good selection of sake.

We got a sashimi bowl and a couple rolls. The fish tasted really fresh and the rolls had great flavor. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience. We will definitely be back.

You had me at sushi This place has so many sushi to choose from , from basic to their specialties also have so many other items . Pictured is on the left is the “Tik Tok” Roll it has fresh hand cut salmon, Philadelphia cream cheese, Avocado, Deep fried with Spicy Mayo . On the right side us the “ Arizona” Roll it has Spivey crab meat, Avocado, cucumber, Salmon, Sriracha jalapeños on top, this one is definitely spicy! Another good roll is the popcorn lobster! As appetizers of course had their spicy edamame but added sriracha to give it more spice also had their pork Gyoza

Food was good the jalapeño sushi roll was the highlight because we had never tasted like that.

The overall dining experience was fantastic. We ordered pot stickers, the Snow White roll, and the Dysart roll (which is pictured). The pot stickers were good, the Snow White roll had a hint of spice but was absolutely delicious, and the Dysart roll was exceptional. The panko-frying on the sushi added a wonderful texture. The food was fresh and arrived quickly. However, I’m giving it 4 stars because the service left something to be desired. I understand that many places are understaffed, but I wasn’t offered a drink refill and a different waitress came by to ask if my order had been taken yet. Are the waitstaff not assigned to specific tables to provide service?
