Old Capitol Grill - Golden

Restaurant in a historic building in Golden. It's right by the Welcome sign, so you are in the center of the fun. There were several regulars hanging at the bar talking and goofing off. The food is made from scratch. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was so much bigger than expected! It had fresh pickles, coleslaw and tons of pork. The bbq sauce is made from scratch, and has such a great kick. Highly suggest the fried pickles as well, the sauce has a great taste.

Late evening meal, brussel sprouts were amazing. I had the brisket and it was so good! Fries that came with hubby's bison burger were the really good wide flat ones. Would visit again! Staff super friendly and we never ran out of drinks.

Golden is a charming little town, and Old Capitol Grill certainly lived up to expectations. The service provided by Emi was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable!

I visited today and had an amazing experience! The blonde server (I apologize for not remembering her name) on the patio on Friday afternoon was excellent! The mac and cheese had a bit too much breadcrumb topping for my taste, and I wish the mashed potatoes had been a little warmer. However, overall it was a fantastic experience! The burrito someone at our table ordered was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place—10/10!
