We have visited Kandelaber Restaurant for more than 10 years, especially for the Matjesessen. Same quality, very friendly and attentive service, what the customer wants more.

I can only warn here! By the way, it was almost that I felt that the food was not really good. Then what came was great. I rated the food on another two-star rating portal that asked the owner to call me for days, then on the Internet, so I can almost say no different and at the good end he then instructed a lawyer to intimidate me. I didn't read here. If it had only remained with the not so great food (soup lukewarm, meat almost cold, potatoes with germs etc., everything would have been so. Look at this. However, this host has played every sympathy through the extremely trivial theatre behind it. It's a shame if you can't handle criticism. In any case, Mr Plotz's behaviour is extremely disturbing.

Mr Plotz is one of the creators of our region. His Matjes (also not made in the happy city) are the best GM I know. In the Candelaber you can enjoy them in zig-zag variations (if you want), because I really love you only nature. The price for the Matjes buffet is absolutely good and can always be recommended.

This truly unique restaurant I've known for years, and it tastes again and again. The boss who has worked there for a long time has always been able to serve new ideas like the Matjes tasty. Where else do you get Matjes in Mango coconut sauce with fruits and roast potatoes? It may not be any taste, but the success of this extraordinary creation punishes the two-save lies. The gold smokers are easily smoked and served with lime cream, Mangochutney and Röstis. Other Matjes dishes such as Mediterranos, Rotweinmatjes, Matjesvariations and more are offered to the guest. The Matjes matures under constant control of the chef in wooden barrels, which contributes to the unique taste. In addition to the various mate dishes, appetizers and soups, other classic North German fish dishes such as Labskaus are also served. If you mow the fish, you can do this on meat dishes and also pasta. Of course you also think about the little ones in the menu, the racers for the children like carvings and noodles are also on the map. If the great hunger shuts down and something else fits in the stomach, a red cap can be ordered for the crowning conclusion. Yesterday there was Matjesbuffet for a sattessen that took photos. The Matjesbuffet costs € 18.50 per person. The restaurant is very appealing, you just have to feel comfortable. The staff is careful, professional and friendly. Recommended restaurant right on the market square in Glückstadt. The food was always good and the service was excellent. Especially the lucky towns Matjes are recommended, but also convince the other dishes. Price performance is justified and you do not wait long for the dishes. The locality was always very clean and tidy during our visits and there was a good atmosphere.
