The Double Gloucester

The food at this restaurant was really bad. I tried the Sunday carvery and was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food.

The Double Gloucester restaurant now has new owners who offer a very warm welcome. The Sunday roast is top quality and deserves a 5-star rating.

My first visit to this restaurant was excellent. The staff were very kind and attentive, bringing our tea to the table since both my companion and I were disabled. The food was delicious and we never felt rushed at all, allowing us to spend a pleasant three hours catching up. During the next visit with four of us, the service was fantastic once again. However, the highlight was the Christmas meal. The three courses were amazing and all came out together at a perfect pace, allowing us to enjoy a wonderful time together with both the staff and our group of six. We had such a great experience that one of us is planning to have their wedding meal there too. A big thank you to the staff for making our visits so enjoyable.
