Bidra med feedbackWe planned on another restaurant the night we ended here because of long waits. We were glad we did! The staff was attentive, the service was fast, and the food was delicious! They have the average pub food but with some unique additions to the menu. The goat cheese fritters and shrimp bruschetta was amazing! My only gripe (and that's too strong a word) is the confusion of the actual name of the place. It was the Blue Comet but also the Franklin Glenside of which you'll only find that on a Facebook page that says Franklin Glendside (a 2nd D in there). Either way, I recommend it.
The fried goat cheese fritters blew my entire mind. Like I had a moment where I wondered what angelic, cullenary munchy master, made this? Like who tf was like you know what ...?? I'm gonna fry some goat cheese and it'll be delicious damn it and serve it with an onion berry jam. Its like a Martha S Snoop dog collabo . Overall my experience and service was prompt and attentive, respectively and my drinks were on point. You need to stop reading this and just go get some Fritters they're, bomb AF ? enjoy
I really wanted to be an enthusiastic supporter of the new management and the reboot but so far my experiences have been marginal. The atmosphere is lo-fi but not really in a good way, I had a very challenging food experience (which my friend insists was a one off because his experience has been totally opposite of mine) and the staff seems somewhat disengaged as if they are hanging with their friends at the end of the bar and occasionally checking in. To be fair the bartender last night was congenial but my general sense is that they need to create a personality for the establishment.
Under new management, used to be a 50's style bar restaurant. Now has modernized atmosphere and a new menu
This was one of my favorite bars ever! It was sad to see the Comet clos but I heard they are re-opening?
