Having recently moved to the inner west side of the city, I was glad to see that Sycamore Meadows has a sister café in Glenroy. I must admit that my first impressions were not large spaces smaller and the interior felt a bit dingy. I sat outside, but the surroundings are less than idyllic, on a side street of Pascoe Vale Rd. To be honest, my coffee was not fantastic, either the soy was a bit divided with a very fluffy foam on a flat white. My brunch was really delicious. I got the Californian two golden rusti, stacked with beautifully spiced tofu scrambble, many fresh greens and creamy green goddess sauce on the side. Wouldn't come alone for coffee and the ambience, but would definitely eat again. If HC 1/2 stars allowed, I would make it a 3.5 3 feels something stingy, but it is a few brands of a 4 for me.
Enjoy my Nourish Bowl in The Spade. Such a generous portion, sown with fresh sesame Falafel, Tofu, kale, avocado, edamame....so good! Service was friendly, many seating and many vegan options marked clearly on the menu. Coffee was good too.
The sibling cafe to Sycamore Meadows, this trendy cafe serves great coffee and excellent food. We shared the vegan ‘beef’ burger (jackfruit) sweet potato fries and breakfast wrap. I’d seriously travel across town to have this wrap again! Tofu scramble was really well made and the combo of flavours in the breakfast wrap was superb. The wrap itself was light, crisp and tasty. Will definitely order again. The space and decor create a lovely atmosphere to dine in and the staff are lovely. Wine, bread baked onsite, coffee beans whole and ground as well as trendy flower bouquets are also for sale.
