Walkaway Tavern - Glenfield

This is the best pub to visit. As an immigrant, I immediately felt at home. The open fire, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere make it a fantastic place to be. I highly recommend it to everyone.

We went to this restaurant for lunch with a group of 10 people on a hot 40-degree day. The owners went out of their way to accommodate our group, even providing a separate space with a DVD player to entertain the child and boiling water for a baby's bottle. The lunch menu was extensive, but the prices for the meals were quite high. Despite this, we were all very satisfied with our experience. Additionally, when we mentioned that we were camping on the street, a kind lady even offered us the use of showers.

I took my friends to this hotel after exploring the region. When you walk through the closed door, it feels like you have stepped back 50 years. The bar and interior have an old-fashioned charm reminiscent of a country pub. There is a dining area inside as well as an outdoor area under a large yellow canopy. We chose to sit outside on the day we visited. The drinks were reasonably priced. The biggest surprise was the food. The steak sandwiches and fish and chips were delicious and served in generous portions. The fish, in particular, was excellent. The prices were also very affordable. If you find yourself driving around Geraldton, I recommend stopping by this hotel to enjoy the atmosphere.
