Mamma Carmela Restaurant & Pizza Bar

My wife and I have been customers here in excess of 40 years and are still in awe. We came here for lunch today and, as usual, the service rendered by the staff, headed by Tony, was efficient and friendly. In addition, the food was delicious.

Have been a customer for 40 years and now not living in the area so went there expecting it to be the same. The lamb goumet 10" pizza came out within 5 minutes. It was obviously a premade base just reheated with lots of salad thrown on the top. The amount of lamb on the base would barely cover four 50c pieces, and for $28 I considered it a rip off. Very tasty but not for that money.

Intimate and clean cafe pizzeria with excellent staff. Situated in the heart of beach side Glenelg - this establishment has a long time history in the locale. The food is served quickly and the coffee is very good. The outside area is warm in winter and it is pleasant in the warmer months. All in all the establishment caters well for family and group get to gethers. Easily accessible off Jetty Road side walk. The tram from the city can take you all the way to the cafe and is a neat 20 minute trip from Adelaide. There is ample parking in the surrounds.

Stopped in for breakfast, service was pleasant food was quick and tasty, Coffee was good, would recommend this for a good hearty breakfast.

This is a nice little place for pizza, I did not try the other dishes here, however. It was pretty quick service and the pizza is thin crust and standard. Order all food and drink at the counter and let them know your table number - just a tip. Service was fine, priced a little high, but it is so close to the beach.
