I love to go here to get boba after my class is done and to hangout with friends. Also it's not that expensive
I recently learned that this place is near my work, so I stopped there one morning during my commute since it was a Friday, and as Tom Haverford says, "Treat Yo Self. "I got there right when they opened so there was no one there yet. This is great because it gives me a chance to talk to the staff and learn about their favorite items.I started with a Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Boba, which is my favorite, and it was delicious! I love milk tea and boba, and since this place is right next to my work, I 'm definitely going to return here several times and start working my way thru the menu.
This review is comin' in a bit late. I was constantly in the area a few months ago around July-Sept so I would get drinks every now and then. The menu may have changed since then but I'll post whatever I have since the last menu pic I see is from May. I've ordered a peach mango green tea with crystal boba, but when I saw someone said they loved the vietnamese drip with coffee jelly, I got that over and over again since then. I fell in love with it so much that I seriously couldn't get enough of it. My friend also continuously ordered the vietnamese drip (w/o jelly) because he said it was too good. He also tried their new pistachio drink which was advertised on a sign by the register and he thought it was pretty good, but pistachio flavor wasn't too strong. The employees were always so nice and friendly. My friends and I would stay and sit inside to study/hang out during our lunch breaks and we'd usually be the only ones sitting in there. It was summer time and super hot outside, but hot inside as well. Only once did we actually feel the AC on but it was a tiny tiny breeze. They have one of those mini industrial fans blowing in the corner but it was still warm inside. If I were closer to the area again, I'd stop by and get me another viet drip with coffee jelly hands down. Love this boba shop!
I visit Juicy Boba every Sunday and I always get the Avocado Smoothie with Boba and then something with chocolate for my boyfriend. Today I tried to order a large half coffee+half chocolate frappé. The girl taking my order seemed confused. She said that they have Mocha Frappés. I told her that I understand that as I can see that listed on the menu, but I still want the ratio of half chocolate to half coffee. I could tell that this exchange wasn't going to work in my favor. So I made it really easy for her and just ordered a chocolate smoothie. As soon as my boyfriend took a sip, his facial expressions looked disgusted. So I tried a sip to see what was wrong. It was so sour! It tasted like something curdled. The consistency was off as well. It was chunky, icy, and not smooth. Overall, it seems like the quality has just gone down hill.
