Bidra med feedbackWe went there this morning & found that spoonful is no longer a restaurant- it's now become a catering & private dining place.
I was invited to join friends at this quaint little cafe. There is no doubt the food served to everyone was delicious.Having a few at our table the let down was waiting for all the meals to arrive at the same time. This small place produces its own baked goods too.We were able to try a good selection of the baked goodies also excellent.Quaint and worth a visit for sure.
I have tried most items on them menu over the years. It's a good spot and it's clean. Granted it's Not cheap but the coffee is good and it's a good start to the day.
Looked forward to lovely brunch, not crowded, dukkah scrambled eggs and coffee, had to walk through the kitchen to bathroom, did not look too hygenic, dissappointed with toast, would suggest the dukkah on the side as I would not like this again. Eggs a bit overpowered with dukkah taste, 4 hrs later ended up quite unwell. Would not go again. Not too busy, Teaspoon next door looked interesting for take out food and coffee. The food made further at the rear past the bathroom. Expensive, other eateries opening up within short walk.
Spoonful is a bit upmarket for lunch, but the food is fresh and reliable. Attached next door is Teaspoon for grabbing a takeaway, especially for coffee. They had a makeover about 6-9 months ago that took away a lot of the charm it previously had. It used to have a larger table on one side that singles could join without feeling awkward. And lots of interesting, different sized quirky wooden tables and mismatched chairs. With the revamp all the tables are about the same size with an easy wipe surface, It feels like they are all lined up and a feeling of being back at school. It probably means they can fit more people and reconfigure the tables to different sizes quickly.
