I was amazed by the wide selection of shops here! However, I was surprised that I had never visited this market before. That being said, I probably wouldn't come here regularly because it's a bit out of the way for me to drive and find parking in the busy area. Unfortunately, my visit was only pleasant up until I got stung by a bee.
This particular market offers a diverse selection of both cooked and uncooked foods. It is usually well-organized and neat, with delicious cakes on display. You can also find plenty of fresh fruit stands and raw meats to purchase and take home. Overall, there is something for everyone at this market.
I visited a fascinating market with a diverse selection of cooked and uncooked food. The flowers on sale were beautiful, but it was the meat and seafood section that really stood out to me. The quality of the meat from the different stalls was exceptional, offering a variety of options including duck, lamb, beef, and pork. I also tried some delicious sushi from one of the fish shops. Unfortunately, I had to cut my visit short because I parked in a 1-hour spot. I plan to park in the multi-storey parking next time so I can fully explore everything the market has to offer.
Prahran Market at South Yarra is a nice market to visit. Smaller in size and crowd when compared to Queen Victoria Market and South Yarra Market. A good numbers of shops, food, eateries and goods to satisfy all your needs. The flowers at the florists are lovely. Highly recommended if you are visiting South Yarra.
Great little market. When comparing to QVM, South Melbourne Dandedong, by far the smallest. I drove and found easy parking at the back and the parking rates were very reasonable $4.10 for 2 hours). In short, I found the eateries and delis to be awesome, but the produce section fruit, veggies, meats seafood) to be behind the other markets in terms of variety and price. My highlights would be Wasshoi to eat and Sweet Greek for little deli snacks.
