En Izakaya - Glen Eira

It's been a past since we visited en izakaya and the other returned at night. it is standard of food is excellent. presentation is beautiful and there are interesting decisions without being too smart. service was nice and definitiw a visit worth when they go. in the opposite.

Good service, Japanese fusion. deep fried tofu and aubergins were good. also recommended Kingfish-Skewers. There was something too small, so almost every product on the specials board tried!

Wife and I popped in for a quick meal. We shared California rolls for starters which were fresh and tasty. My wife had the cod special and I had the omelette crab special. Both were very good but both were on the small side. I...was barely able to identify the crab in my omelette which was a bit disappointing. I've never had an omelette in a restaurant for dinner before, and probably won't again. My wife had the warm saki which she enjoyed. Two issues for me: 1) After one and a half meals, I was stil hungry. 2) They don't accept Amex very unprofessional.

The food was good but some of it over saucy. The beef was a bit chewy, didn't love the salad. Others may love this kind of food I prefer the simple clan Japanese food.
