Bidra med feedbackThe special fried rice and combo chow mein at Wok Express are fantastic. Unlike other cheap versions that use fillers like peas and cheap ham or luncheon meat, this fried rice is filled with prawns, char siu pork, and other high-quality meats. The rice has a nice smoky flavor, thanks to the high temperature of the wok, which is referred to as "The dragon's breath." The staff is always friendly and accommodating, often throwing in free fortune cookies for my children (I have 5 kids). I'm a new local to Glebe and used to travel 40 minutes out west for genuine fried rice, but now I don't have to because Wok Express is as close as you can get to the real deal. The kids menu is affordable at $6 with decent portions and comes with chips. Despite being a bit further out from the main part of Glebe, it's worth the trip. I highly recommend checking them out for yourself. This is not a paid review, just a genuine foodie who loves great food and honest reviews. Don't let negative reviews deter you, give Wok Express a try.
I have ordered from this restaurant about 10 times and have always enjoyed the good food and quick service every time! I especially love the honey chicken.
Lovely man served us and it was very cheap, but the food....ugh...not sure it was really beef or chicken the texture was really soft and squishy and there was way too much sauce on everything. Overall not an enjoyable experience and would not return we tried the mixed plates with Mongolian beef, sweet and sour pork, beef with black bean, terriyaki chicken, fried rice and fried noodle, garlic prawns. The prawns were actually the only decent part, but swimming in sauce as with everything else. I wouldn't recommend this place to friend.
It's not very express and although the food is decent, it's not that great nor value for money. Been here a few times, giving it a chance but it hasn't really worked. Used to be cheaper which was its main attraction but it's changed its menu since.Rating in descending order: black bean beef, salt and pepper chicken, thai basil chicken, sweet and sour pork, honey lemon chicken, chicken cashew, Mongolian beef. Also, it's closed on Tuesdays.
The restaurant is not very impressive. The food is decent, but the portion sizes are small and not worth the price. I have been here a few times, but it has never really stood out to me. The prices used to be more affordable, which was its main draw, but the menu has changed. The dishes are now ranked in descending order of popularity: black bean beef, salt and pepper dishes, Thai basil chicken, sweet and sour pork, honey lemon chicken, chicken cashew, and Mongolian beef. Additionally, the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays.
