Staff fab fitted us in without trouble, were very pleasant and always there without being oppressive. And the food … chicken pesto bagel and all day breakfast excellent. Cakes we had included carrot cake (v), red velvet, cookies and cream (v) and a maltezers slice all very yummy. Finally the atmosphere is just lovely a mix of quaint eclectic favourite aunt’s ‘front room’. Go, you will not regret it.

Highly recommend the Afternoon Tea in the tea rooms. Great selection of cakes and sandwiches, lovely design and atmosphere and great location. Treated my daughter and I thought there'd be leftovers as I wasn't very hungry, but there weren't.

First time there and we had a great time. Extensive menu with great GF options). Staff were excellent. Very patient with our large group and incredibly efficient. All in all a wonderful experience which we’re keen to repeat.

We had gin afternoon tea using Itison voucher in late December. The food was poor in choice and quality. The cakes and scones were all dry and stale, past the stage for serving. Sandwiches were fine, thick sliced white bread which I wouldn’t have chosen, however edible. One cup of tepid coffee in a tiny retro cup and no offer of more. The cake stands were collapsing and the tablecloth looked grotty washed out in colour, holes in it, and not ironed. My chair was wobbly to point felt like it could collapse. The restaurant style is shabby vintage retro, but the place looks like it needs a good clean. Bizarrely there was iron and ironing board set up at front door as you arrive. Don’t know if the quality is compromised if using voucher. I’d rather pay more than have what we had, and was expensive enough for what we received. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The food was fantastic! The Colin Coley and cauliflower veggie appetizer was fantastic! The sticky toffee pudding was OK. We need a bigger plate and moist pudding. We also created some ambience by lighting our candle. The steak pie looks delicious. My partner and his friend said it was good. We will return!
