Bidra med feedbackHad a meal last night. Were first in restaurant. Ordered prawn cocktail. The starter came the salad looked as if it had been sitting since lunch and the prawns hadn't been deveined. There were five small prawns. I complained and she offered me vegetable spring rolls. They came and they had very little vegetables in them, a few slithers of lettuce and that was it. We have went many times before and it has been fine but not last night. Then I ordered sweet and sour chicken balls. They came along with rice. The sauce had no pineapple in it or no tomato. The staff were angry that I had complained and were very off hand and unfriendly. I won't be going back don't know if it is a new chef or they are cutting back in a big way but it was the same waiting staff.Disappointed.
After moving to the West End my husband and I were searching for a new Chinese to deliver to us on a Saturday night. We tried a few different ones (one was horrid) and have now been ordering from this restaurant for months every weekend. We do always order the same thing (a chicken breast curry with a few sides) but every week it is great food. I have also once dined in the actual restaurant, it looks tiny from the front but extends as you go in. The service was great and again food lovely. It was very quiet though and I don't know if this is because from the outside it just looks like a takeaway. Hope you enjoy!
Amazing food but shocking service. Originally told minutes for delivery over two hours later, four phone calls and attitude from delivery person felt decidedly unsatisfied.........
The food was delicious and flavorful, but unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. We were advised that our order would take 40 minutes to arrive, but it ended up being delivered after 2 hours and required 3 phone calls to follow up. The customer service was lacking, and the delivery person was rude and unprofessional at the door.
Last Saturday evening, I stumbled upon a hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant near Anniesland Morrisons that I had never heard of before. From the outside, it looked like a simple take away place, but to my surprise, a long corridor led to the back of the building where a charming traditional Chinese restaurant, complete with a fish tank, awaited. We arrived around 6.30pm, just in time for the pre-theatre menu offering 2 courses for £9.95 and 3 courses for £11.95. The food was absolutely delicious! Although there was a mix-up with our spare ribs order - I asked for BBQ while Ian requested Peking - they were still delightful. We also had to remind them about our order of prawn crackers, but they were apologetic and quickly brought them out. The restaurant seemed to be bustling with take away orders, but it wasn't too crowded for a Saturday night, which we appreciated. Ian didn't want too many people to know about this place because it's so good and not overly busy. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially when they brought out a birthday cake for a young man celebrating with his girlfriend. It was a funny moment as we all joined in singing happy birthday to him. I can't wait to return and try more dishes from the menu, particularly the sweet and sour chicken. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I look forward to our next visit.
