Bidra med feedbackWent for a nice pre valantines lunch after spotting this place, wish we went elsewhere, there were at least 3 deliveries unloaded while we were in, all of which were wheeled or carried through restraunt. Staff seemed more intrested in talking to themselves and friends and shouting from one end to the other. Food was fresh but not worth the money, was nothing special and unfortunately we won't return.
I made a reservation here through 5pm for a meal before a concert at the ABC. We started with some drinks, a bucket of Corona with ice for £12 which was great value. We also tried their Coronarita, one of the best margaritas I've had, served with a side of Corona for added effect. It was a bit pricey at £10, but there was enough for two of us to share. The food, however, was a bit disappointing. My Mexican meatball tacos were cold and unimpressive at first, but the manager quickly apologized and had a new one prepared, which was hot and delicious. However, the rice and refried beans were bland and unappealing, and the jalapeños looked like they came from a jar of Old El Paso. My friend's meal was tasty but not hot enough, though she found it filling. The portions were generous, so I wasn't too upset about not eating the sides. Overall, the service and drinks were fantastic and reasonably priced, but the chef needs to take more pride in their dishes. There was an issue with the discount for booking through 5pm, but it was resolved quickly. I'm not sure if I would return for the food, but I would definitely come back for the margaritas and recommend them to my friends.
We ate her twice in 2014 and LOVED everything about it from the nice little touches like a fresh rose in a tequila bottle on the table, being served wine in traditional clay cups of course the amazing food, so we were excited to bring my mother in law one afternoon after raving about it. Our food can 't really be described as anything but disappointing. First of all no rose on the table this time, no clay cups with our bottle of wine, some changes to the menu meaning less seafood/veggie options. We decided just to go for a main each as last time we couldn 't finish two courses so I ordered the salmon burrito when it arrived I immediately knew it was going to be bad, it was NOT a burrito, it was a dry(blackened and burnt)piece of samon in a wrap with some shredded lettuce with about a teaspoon of mayonnaise, and on the side was some more lettuce with some shredded veg in mayo, no rice, no cheese, no sour cream, no chillies, no salsa, and also on a much smaller plate compared to when we last ate there. I know what a burrito is supposed to be and this didn 't come close to the one I had eaten last time. My husbands beef burrito was mainly sauce and again no rice, cheese, or sour cream, my mother in laws tacos did look ok but the chicken was very dry she said there was none of the flavour you would expect(there looked to be zero fajita seasoning on them). I took a couple of bites of mine and decided not to eat it my husband mother in law didn 't finish theirs either, what happened next is the ONLY reason I gave 3 stars, when we asked the waitress to speak to the manager the other waiter came over(I don 't know if he IS the manager but he isn 't the same guy with white hair who was overseeing everything the last couple times we were there in 2014), he agreed that the salmon was burnt when we said we 'd rather not pay for that dish, to his credit he took all three meals off the bill all we paid for was the bottle of wine, when I showed a photograph of the burrito I had had the last time(on facebook saying it was 'the best mexican food I 'd ever tasted ' ironically enough)smothered in salsa and cheese and sour cream and chillies with a side of rice, he agreed that it looked nothing like before said he would show the chef. We also had a complimentary shot of tequila and he took the time to explain the different flavours to us, I feel terrible writing a bad review but we probably wouldn 't go back to give the food another chance if the same chef is there, I hope management reads this and sees that they are losing customers because the food is going rapidly downhill, it 's not in the same league as it was last year, I will keep an eye on reviews and see if the quality improves and if so we will be back to try again, only because of the good service we received.
Loved this place staff where so helpful and chatty. Free tortilla crisps when u come in. Atmosphere was great low lighting and big airy space. Food was great the staff were very helpful when it came to asking about the menu. Was first time having Mexican so best place to try if your a newbie
I first dined at this restaurant in late 2014 and the food was outstanding. The flavors were delicate, the chillies were fresh and crunchy, and the onions were well-cooked. However, my most recent visit was quite disappointing. The chillies were soggy, the onions were raw, and the dish was overpowered by a very strong sauce, making it difficult to taste anything and causing some discomfort. I believe this change may be due to new staff members, and it would be a great disappointment if the food quality does not improve back to its original standards. I will give it another chance to see if this was just a one-time disappointment, but this may mark the end of this restaurant's excellence in my dining experience, and I may return to Pinto instead.
