Vegan menu seems to have shrunk now it’s inside Life. The shake was good but expensive at £7.50. The burger wasn’t very nice, covered with claggy vegan cheese and a bit bland.
Such a disappointment after initial excitement. They have downsized their vegan menu somewhat and it seems they have also forgot how to prepare and cook to a pleasing degree. Sad.
This place used to have the best milkshakes in town but we were really let down on our last visit. So far Steak Cattle and Roll have chosen to completely ignore my complaint rather than dealing with it. The shakes are expensive to begin with but normally worth it. This time I got a basic chocolate and banana shake with chocolate sauce, some melting cream and some sprinkles. It looked pathetic, and then on top of that because it was a ‘special’ it cost £10! My husband went for the sundae and it arrived missing the toppings but was still charged full price for it. The whole milkshake/sundae thing is annoying but ignoring complaints is what’s really made me angry here. If they can’t be bothered replying to customers then I won’t bother spending my money there again.
Serves by far the best vegan burger I have ever had the classic vegan. It's huge and delicious, with a house made patty, vegan cheese, and plenty of salad. Once time I deviated and got a vegan tender wrap not nearly as good. Will stick with the classic vegan from now on.
