Ollie's Rutherglen - Glasgow

We had a lovely, intimate dinner at this restaurant on a cold December night. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way to accommodate my dietary restrictions. The food was absolutely delicious, with no flaws in quality, portion size, flavors, presentation, or anything else. The menu was unique and featured creative takes on traditional dishes. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The lunch was delicious, the atmosphere superb, the staff friendly and attentive, and the restaurant spotlessly clean and welcoming. Outstanding.

I'm a long term frequent customer and fan of Ollie's. Our fish and chicken dishes this evening were absolutely delicious but after the main course things went downhill. We'd booked a table a month in advance for 6pm but after our meal ...at 7.30 pm our waiter suggested that because there were no other diners...we might want to decide if we really wanted coffee as it took a long time for them to clean the machine out and they'd really have to close soon!! We went on to have a hurried desert ....a completely tasteless panna cotta and a rushed coffee and were ushered out before 8.30. I completely understand restaurants are having a really hard time right now but this was not a pleasant dining experience and a great disappointment. If they felt they didn't have enough bookings I'd rather they'd just cancelled mine rather than making our party feel as if we should leave after our main course.

The menu is good and prices are average. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The restroom is a bit cramped. It can be difficult to find parking since it is located on a main road without a dedicated parking lot. However, the interior of Ollie's has been recently upgraded for the better. Overall, visiting this restaurant is a great choice.

They had a veggie/vegan menu that was separated from the main thing. eating was brilliant and the personal was really accentuated by making it clear what was and was not vegan even to certain garnishes. Unfortunately there are no vegan desserts, but they have me the wg friendly sorbet (which is usually sold next to a not wg dessert) on it is own that delicious!
